電影配樂由大師John Williams創作，集劇情、恐怖及奇幻於一身之1972年電影 Image (幻象)，是執導風格獨特，祟尚自然主義手法的導演Robert Altman (羅伯特·奧特曼)作品，他著名作品還有《風流軍醫俏護士 M*A*S*H，1970》與《普世歡騰樂滿城 Nashville，1975 》，金棕櫚獎最佳女主角Susannah York (蘇珊娜·約克)主演。故事是一對夫妻周末來到了他們位於偏僻鄉村的農舍渡假，其間女主角產生了幻覺，她“見到”了以前在空難中死去的戀人，幻覺最終導致了悲劇的發生……。
